The latest news from Active Christians Today!
The ACT BG and UT men gathered last Saturday to prepare a dinner for the ACT ladies. The "Chivalry Dinner" included everything from the ambiance of the room, table settings, menu, music and preparing and cooking the dinner. The Chivalry Dinner was a way to show our appreciation for the ladies of ACT. It was a wonderful night of great food, fellowship, laughter and fun.
It was truly an inspiring week serving with the ACT BG / UT mission team in and around West Palm Beach, Florida. It was a busy week: serving in a soup kitchen, participating in a children's after school program and helping in a huge food distribution project sounds like a lot but there was so much more. The team also led in worship on Sunday, cleaned out a warehouse, directed a youth program on Friday and found more unusual places for ministry including an evening festival in West Palm Beach. God blessed in amazing ways and we thank everyone for their support of ACT! Watch this video to get an idea of all that happened from the student's perspective.
Three students from Active Christians Today University of Toledo and the Weaver family joined with 25 youth and adults from Northwest Ohio to spend a week on mission in West Virginia. The group participated in the Brothers’ Keeper ministry based at Parchment Valley in Ripley. The ministry reaches out to the Jackson County West Virginia area (one of the poorest in all of West Virginia) by building wheelchair ramps, decks, house repairs, tarring roofs and more. Our students helped in leadership during the week along with serving on work teams around the county. It was truly a wonderful week and we saw many lives touched with the love of Jesus through the ministry of Brothers' Keeper.
Active Christians Today stays busy all summer long! We have our weekly gathering "In the Woods with Jesus" each Friday night in addition to a mission trip and other fellowship fun! A week in the life of our students with Active Christians Today features lots of fun and fellowship at a Toledo Mud Hens game and "In the Woods with Jesus." Come see what you are missing!
A summer filled with all kinds of weather but always wonderful Friday nights filled with fun! "In the Woods with Jesus" was our summer get together for our ACT BG & UT groups out at the Weaver Ranch. Campfires, nine square, volleyball, cornhole, fellowship, devotions and fun filled our evenings. God blessed in so many ways!

What a night! It was crazy and messy as we held our "Messy Twister Fab Friday" at the ACT Campus Houseon September 9, 2016. What do you get when you combine shaving cream, paint and Ultimate Twister? MESSY TWISTER! We laughed a lot and had a great night of fellowship.
Friday September 23 at 7 PM it's time for our FANCY FUNKY FONDUE FRIDAY! And no - you don't have to dress like our 1970s fondue party models... and if you do, it is at your own risk (of ridiculousness, that is)!
Never fondue'd? Here's your opportunity (you always secretly dreamed of it... admit it)! We'll have a station featuring each of our fondues: cheese, broth (for dipping meat) and chocolate. You will be given a plate, a fondue fork and then the rest is up to you! What will you mix and match?
Yum, yum, and yum. It's going to be groovy!
As always, our evenings are full of fellowship and laughter because we just don't laugh enough in this world!!!
Don't miss out on the fun!
Following our event, we plan to travel down to Bowling Green State University for "God Dogs & Jesus Burgers" outreach beginning at 11 PM.
